Mala Xiang Guo (Spicy Stir Fry)

Mala Xiang Guo is a Chinese dish prepared by stir frying. 
It is spicy and salty and it also has a numbing effect to ur tongue.
Its name says it all. In Chinese, Ma means numb and La means spicy.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO TAKE NOTE!
  • The type and amount of ingredients used is to ur liking.
  • This dish is usually served with rice but you can also fried it with instant noodle.
    I'll added instant noodle in this recipe but it's optional.
  • The amount of Szechuan pepper is to ur liking, the more you add, the more numbness you'll feel.
  • The amount of dried chilli is also to ur liking, the more you add, the more spicy it'll be.
Ingredients:
Main
  • Szechuan pepper
  • Chilli bean sauce a.k.a. Toban Djan
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Dashi powder
  • Dried Chilli
  • Garlic
  • Oil
  • Light Soy Sauce
Ingredients
  • Lotus root
  • Broccoli
  • Potato
  • Tau Kwa a.k.a. firm tofu
  • Tau Pok a.k.a. beancurd puff
  • Enoki mushroom
  • Ham
  • Instant noodle
1. Wash and slice all of the ingredients into smaller size.
2. Wash the szechuan pepper and dried chilli. Cut the dried chilli into half if too long.
3. Mince some garlic.
4. In a pot with boiling water, pre-cook the ingredients.
5. With a large pan, pour in generous amount of oil and fry the dried chilli and szechuan pepper until fragrant. Remove it from the pan.
6. With the oil that is use to fry the dried chilli and szechuan pepper, add in garlic and fry until fragrant.
7. Add in all of the ingredients except tau kwa (if any) and fry until fragrant.
8. Add in dashi poder, light soy sauce and salt. The amount is to ur desired.
9. Add in tau kwa (if any) and fry carefully.
10. Pour in a small amount of water. 
11. Add in chilli bean sauce and stir evenly. The amount is to ur desired.
12. Add in the fried szechuan pepper and dried chilli and mix it evenly. 
13. Enjoy!
