Spring Rolls

Spring rolls can be filled with variety of fillings from meats all the way to vegetables.
It can be found in East Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Southeast Asia.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO TAKE NOTE!
  • You can use any ingredients for the fillings
  • Amount in the bracket is the amount that I used. It depends on the amount of spring rolls you want
  • The amount of seasonings is to ur preference
Ingredients:
  • Popiah skin
Seasoning
  • White vinegar (2 tablespoons)
  • Light soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
  • Salt (1/2 tablespoon)
  • Pepper (Optional)
Fillings that I used
  • Potato (1 potato)
  • Carrot (1 carrot)
  • Shiitake mushroom (3 mushroom)
  • Onion (1 onion)
1. Wash the vegetables then slice them into strips or smaller cubes.
2. Steam the more difficult to cook vegetables (potato, carrot) until partially cooked. Cover the the bowl with a cover to make sure no water accumulates in the bowl.
3. After done steaming, pour all the vegetables into a bowl and mix them up.
4. Add in the seasonings and mix up until even.
5. With the fillings ready, wrap it up with the popiah skin. Use water to make sure the popiah is in place.
6. Fry the popiah until it is golden brown.
7. Enjoy!
